Speak FROM your client’s reality, not ABOUT their reality

What does this mean? As psychologists we try and explain the psychology of something, and we end up talking ABOUT the psychology of a situation which can across as a little detached.

Instead we need to put ourselves in our client’s shoes and speak FROM their reality. We need to bring a sense of empathy into our narrative, as psychologists, that our clients can relate to much more.

This topic was discussed in our second video from our free video series available on our Facebook group Creative Valuable Psychology Practices. The video course is about Strengthening your Psychology Practice through Disruptive Transitions. Although the video series has started there is still time to join our group, get access to the videos and all the support that comes with being part of a community of psychologists. See the link in the bio to find the Facebook group.
